Register for the LCCA Convention

A Family Tradition

The LCCA Convention is more than an event — it’s a family tradition. Each summer, members gather with parents, siblings, and grandkids to share a week of trains, tours, and fellowship. Registration is family‑based, so when one club member registers, their entire household is welcome to join in the fun. And if multiple family members are club members and register, each will receive their own registration gift, making the experience even more special.

Registration Options

Members may register early to secure the best rates and ensure access to tours and banquets. Late registration begins in mid‑June, with a modest increase in price, but the excitement of the convention remains the same. Early registration is strongly encouraged, as seats for tours and special events fill quickly.

Registration Gift

Every registration comes with a special gift — a Lionel collectible produced exclusively for the LCCA Convention. This gift is limited to one per registration and must be picked up in person during the convention. Traditionally, a three‑night stay at the host hotel is required to qualify, but members who live within fifty miles of the convention city are exempt from that requirement. It’s our way of ensuring that local members can still enjoy the full convention experience without missing out on the gift.

The Convention Hotel Experience

The host hotel is the hub of the convention. It’s where receptions, banquets, modular layouts, and family activities all come together under one roof. Even members who live nearby often choose to stay at the hotel, turning the week into a true getaway. From morning tours to evening fellowship, everything happens here, and the atmosphere is alive with excitement from the moment you arrive.

Registration Package

Your registration package is designed to make participation seamless. It provides the exclusive registration gift, name badges for you and your family, and tickets for all pre‑paid events throughout the week. With these essentials in hand, you’ll be ready to enjoy every aspect of the convention — from the excitement of the Trading Hall to the fellowship of the banquets — knowing that everything you need has already been taken care of.

Important Dates

Registration opens in mid‑February, following the publication of The Lion Roars. That’s when hotel blocks go live and tour tickets become available. Late registration begins June 16, with a modest increase in price.

Travel & Logistics

The convention team carefully selects hotels in host cities to make travel easy. Hotels are typically less than thirty miles from the local airport, and in many cases shuttle service is available between the airport and the host hotel. Full travel details are published in the February edition of The Lion Roars, giving members plenty of time to plan their trip and also available on the LCCA website.

Notes

Event dates and times are subject to change as needed to ensure the smooth flow of the convention.
