LCCA Convention Locations over the Years
Jerry Dangelo, Charter Member 67 and Unofficial Club Historian kindly provided The Lion Roars with a complete list of the 50 club conventions held since 1972. His list is reproduced here and includes all of the cities where the gatherings were held including the two cancelled due to the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. The list of sites shows the LCCA held the first official convention in Kansas City near the club’s founding city of Perry, Iowa. Since that first event, the club has covered 26 states from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from Minnesota to Texas. Denver holds the record for the most conventions at three and several cities have been visited twice. Next year in Omaha the club will be holding its 51st conclave as the club turns 54 years old, but who’s counting? Jerry Dangelo is counting. Thanks, Jerry.
