LCCA Interviews Lionel CEO Jerry Calabrese
During this past holiday season, LCCA Director Ed Richter and LCCA President Al Kolis met and videotaped an exclusive interview with Lionel’s CEO Jerry Calabrese in New York City. Jerry provided updates on Lionel’s plans for 2010 and their new Vision Line. Jerry is committed to working with the LCCA on future projects. He is excited about our new Junior Membership program and is very willing to assist us and JM Coordinator Dominic Caponi in introducing the next generation to the magic of Lionel trains. Hopefully, they will become the future collectors/operators of Lionel trains as grownups.
Jerry recognizes the need and is committed to reaching out and introducing Lionel trains to the mass merchandise audience. Along with the LCCA, Lionel will participate in all of the World’s Greatest Hobby On Tour shows scheduled in 2010. This is a great venue for re-introducing Lionel trains to the generation that played with Lionel trains when they were young and presenting the hobby to today’s generation.
Watch this exclusive interview below and read the transcribed text of the interview in the February 2010 issue of The Lion Roars magazine. A sincere thank you goes to Jerry Calabrese for taking time to meet with us and providing our members and guests with his insights into the upcoming plans for Lionel.
