Sunday 10/16 Open House and Swap Meet at Charter Member#1 Jim Gates' Home

On Sunday, October 16, 2011, club founder and Charter Member #1, Jim Gates and his wife Josephine, will host a Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) Open House and Swap Meet as a club-sponsored Special Event at their home in Perry, IA, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jim's address is:

Bring your trains to run on Jim's impressive home layout, or bring them to sell or trade at the swapmeet.  A catered barbecue lunch (grilled hamburgers, hot chicken, salad, vegetables, cake & drinks) will be served at 1 p.m. at the Recreation Center right across the street from Jim's home for a modest fee of $13/person.  From 12:30 -3:30 PM will will have a swap meet at the Recreation Center.  Bring the entire family, meet with Jim and Josey and other Charter Members, and have fun buying, selling, trading and running your Lionel trains! Experience the camaraderie with fellow club Members and "talk trains" with fellow Charter members who started this club and made this club the best toy train club on the planet. This will be another opportunity to reminisce and learn about the origin and early history of our great club.
