Gallery: Christmas Layouts
David Dunlop - This classic setup under a Christmas tree shows a GG1 on point with several LCCA products in the consist and at trackside. [photo by David Dunlop]bold
Bill Fuller - A festive red holiday steamer rounds a curve in this wintry snowscape. The hot chocolate dispenser is an appropriate blend of a railroad archetype with a holiday adaptation. [photo by Bill Fuller]
Woody and Madeline Hickman - Their entire-house Christmas decorations and upstairs train layout are featured in an article published in the December 2009 issue of TLR. Woody and Madeline have graciously opened their home to visitors and at-risk kids during many holiday seasons, and their tradition continues. [photo by Bob Carter]
A Holiday for Children and Grandpas Too - TLR author Ken Morgan (“the Tinplate Cannonball”) offers a Thomas train set to his granddaughter Sasha. In 2009, she entered the essay contest sponsored by Amtrak on the theme “Why I like riding the train” and won an award. Perhaps the “literary gene” was transmitted through the DNA double helix to her! [photo provided by Ken Morgan]
