This two-day, 801 lot, event is heavily loaded with Lionel products, including over 200 lots of postwar items.  The first 400 lots on Saturday, includes approximately 60 lots of diesel power units with over 160 lots of freight rolling stock plus an additional 30 lots of buildings.  To add action on your pike, there are almost 50 lots of accessories, and if you are planning on expansion, there are 40 various lots of track and switches, and a Legacy control system.  Although the list of steam power is somewhat limited in number, it includes some impressive pieces.  A 50’s version #773 will create some challenges, and the #746 N&W short stripe along with the LionMaster Big Boy should generate some excitement.  Atlas and MTH have some choice items too, which include a 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone and a 4 truck Shay.

The second day of the auction includes a “Sunday Special”: 66 lots of attractive LGB G gauge lots.  The motive power star is a 2-6-6-2 Uintah with sound.  There are 30 lot of freight and passenger rolling stock featuring primarily Colorado road names.  The 20 lots of track includes the popular LGB 1200mm  (nominal 4 foot) straights.

Sunday’s O gauge lots continue the same excitement generated on Saturday.  For those seeking modern Lionel releases, a “like new” reissue of 1947 #2124 set, with a GG-1 and 3 Madison coaches, all in the OB’s, is outstanding; as are the NYC 700E Hudson with display case and a Hellgate bridge.  The MTH Climax locomotive offers another special find.  Postwar collectors will be flashing their paddles at the outstanding assortment of ‘like new’ and excellent lots; many in the OB’s.  A superb mix of 6464 boxcars and some somewhat scarce pieces, like the #6427 Virginia and the #6417 Lehigh Valley cabooses, plus a choice #6376 Circus car will surely attract attention.  That’s not all; the Canadian Pacific F3 ABA and the #3562 black gondola with a yellow trough, in the OB, should get the competitive spirit in full swing.  This auction has something for everyone.  If you are looking for power, there are over 10 ZW’s; both 250 and 275 Watt versions, in various conditions from “needs love” to like new in the OB.  Okay bookworms, there are over 20 lots of books and printed materials.  The variety continues with parts in multi-drawer cabinets, vehicles, clocks, storage tubs and even a Lionel stool.
