November 16 - The LCCA Returns to Chattanooga TN for Special Event

The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) will be back in Chattanooga TN as the guests of Gerald Jackson and his lovely wife, Myra on Saturday, Nov 16, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Gerald is hosting an open house event open to all LCCA members especially for the JM’s and family members of the LCCA.   We will be hosting a group of autistic children and their families from the local Autism Speaks organization during this event.

The Jackson’s have invited us to their home for a spectacular layout tour and hands-on operation of Lionel trains.  Their permanent layout table measures 14 X 28 feet and is located in their walkout basement.  The collection and operating toy trains consists of nearly 800 pieces of rolling stock and 195 Lionel and MTH toy train locomotives.

LCCA members and Autistic children are invited to come enjoy the layout and run some Lionel trains on the floor.  We plan to have several loops of Lionel train tracks set up on the floor in  the Jackson’s home.   We plan to let the children operate and run the trains on these layouts.   This will be a great hands-on experience for the kids of all ages to enjoy.

Space will be limited, so we are requesting LCCA members and Autism Speaks families to register and reserve their spots for this event prior to November 1, 2013.   If you are interested in attending and participating, please contact either Gerald Jackson or myself.   We hope to see you at this family friendly, train filled, fun event.  Let’s have some FUN and experience the magic of Lionel Trains!

Sincerely,

Gerald Jackson
