Update on the 2012 LCCA Convention Car

The 2012 convention car was contracted for delivery to the LCCA in late December 2012.  As of last week, (Jan 9), the sample for this car has been rejected.  The deco on the car must be redone and the mechanical portion of the car must yet be approved.

Unfortunately, due to delays with the contracted manufacturing company in China, Lionel has been unable to deliver the product to the LCCA. The LCCA does not have updated timing for delivery at this time.

The LCCA is disappointed with this delay and is working with Lionel to minimize additional delays.  Production is at least one month away and another month on the water.  We did not receive any info on when we can expect this car, but feel it may still be 2-4 months away.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Additional information will follow and be posted on our website as it becomes available.

This is a beautiful car - a tribute to not only the LCCA convention in Norfolk, but also to the men and women who serve in our various armed forces.  The LCCA is making a $500.00 cash donation to the Wounded Warrior Project on behalf of our members.  Although delayed, I am confident you will be proud to have purchased this car - destined to become an LCCA classic.
