2022 December Holiday Train Displays

Make Elizabethtown, PA your destination one of the first three Saturdays in December from 10am to 3:30 pm to see two outstanding, large train displays at the Elizabethtown Public Library and the Masonic Village.  After missing two years due to the pandemic, LCCA members are invited to attend these displays.  Parking is best at the Masonic Village Club site, 1 Masonic Drive, and a free shuttle runs between the two displays every half hour.  Once on the Masonic Village grounds, signage directs visitors to the train club building.   The Masonic Village club, housed in a dedicated building, features a permanent O gauge display with detailed scenery, two HO layouts, and Standard, S, N, Z and G scale operating layouts as well as static shelf displays. These displays operate all year long, but have extra shows in December.   The Train Guys at the library, 10 S. Market St., have a large display constructed for December Christmas time showing and is designed to appeal to collectors as well as families.  This year there is a featured standard gauge area, a large O gauge area and a G scale operating on the floor.  Train Guys can operate up to 20 trains at one time and there are contemporary items and items as much as 100 years old.  The display features 50 push buttons around the perimeter which allows visitors to start trains and operate accessories.  Admission is only $2 per person and proceeds from the display benefit the library.  Be sure to make plans to attend this event with your friends and family.  You will not be disappointed.
