The Lion Roars and IT Photo Contest
Your Christmas Train Photo on One of Two LCCA Magazines
This year there are two ways to have one of your treasured family Christmas Tree Train photos on the cover of an LCCA magazine. The best color photo submission will be featured on the December cover of The Lion Roars and the best black and white photo will be on the January cover of Interchange Track. The winners will each receive a 2020 LCCA Christmas car.
Start digging through those old family albums and slide trays for those treasured photographs of you and/or your family members and their model trains running around the family tree. And there is no longer an excuse to not participate because your best shots are in black and white. We will be happy to receive black and white or color prints, color slides and even digital shots as long as the subject matter includes model trains and Christmas décor. Hint: If you are taking new photos, it is always best to use vertical shots on the cover of magazines with vertical covers. But don’t let that stop you from sending in existing photos that are horizontal.
The rules are pretty simple. Just mail your submission to Mike McLintock, with a self-addressed stamped return envelope enclosed. You can enter both contests, but you can only win one. The shots can be taken at any time right up to current day. You must be an LCCA member of any age and in good standing. Deadline for receipt of your photo for consideration is Monday, November 9, 2020.
Mail your prints or slides in a well-protected envelope to Mike McLintock, 2119 Winding Creek Dr., Keller, TX 76248. Or send digital photos via email to: MAMcLintock@Verizon.net with the words “2020 Christmas Photo Contest” in the subject line. All photos will be returned using the self-addressed and stamped envelope you provide.
