TOUR 1B ANNOUNCED FOR MONDAY, JULY 15

Tour #1 has been completely sold out.  Fortunately, Tour 1B has been added for Monday July 15.  While similar, there are a few differences.  Please read carefully!  Tour 1B will leave 1 hour earlier and will include the Bower Mansion, the Blue line (Kit Carson trail), and the Nevada Railroad Museum.  The museum will include the McKeen car and the box lunch just like Tour 1.  Here is where the difference comes in.  Both tours will ride the same train and steam engine, but at different times.  Tour 1 will ride the V&T from Carson City to Virginia City while the new Tour 1B will be bused 40 minutes to Virginia City.  Tour 1B will visit the quaint town and the railroad shops until the train arrives.  When Tour 1 departs the train for their tour of the town, Tour 1B will board the train for a 35-40 minute ride down to Gold Hill and back. For years this was the only ride available.  After returning to Virginia City from train ride, Tour 1B will then be bused back to the hotel with a photo op at the Reno/Sparks overlook.  Tour 1B will not be attending the Piper Opera House show and meal.

In brief, there are 3 differences:
 -
No Opera house show and evening dinner on Tour 1B.
 -
Tour 1B will ride the same train at a different time.  They will have a round trip over a shorter distance than the one way trip of Tour 1
 -
The price for Tour 1B is $153 compared to $198 for Tour 1

Tour 1B is limited to 52 seats.  Once sold, there will be no additional tours available for Monday.  The price for Tour 1B reflects these changes. (#LCCARENO)
