October 15, 2014 - LCCA Dutch Treat Special Event Dinner (Recap)


The Smokey Bones Restaurant in York PA was overflowing with LCCA members on Wednesday October 11, during the LCCA’s Dutch treat casual dinner. Members and guest had an opportunity to socialize with Lionel President Howard Hitchcock and his team from Lionel. LCCA President Dennis DeVito unveiled the prototype sample of the new LCCA Boston & Maine GP7 engine and dummy unit. This pair along with a smoking caboose will be available for purchase to our members only on a build to order basis. There will be no additional sets made after the order is placed with Lionel. If interested, reserve your set by placing a deposit in the store section of our website www.lionelcollectors.org. Also, on hand was a pre-production sample of the new LCCA/LRRC 2014 Christmas car. Only 500 of these Christmas cars will be produced, so if you are interested, place your order today.  

Also, Thank you to all of the LCCA members who stopped by the LCCA booth in the orange Hall on the York Fairgrounds. These new LCCA product offerings were on display for all those who are interested to see close up. LCCA President Dennis DeVito, fellow officers, directors and volunteers were swarmed throughout the show by long time LCCA members as well as the new LCCA members who came from the LRRC.
