Attention LCCA Members, May is filling up with very exciting and fun LCCA Special events. The LCCA has two great special events scheduled for the month of May, along with the upcoming event on June 9, 2012. If you are thinking about registering for the fun filled events, do not delay. National Train Day 5-12-12 in Arkansas.
On Saturday, May 12; LCCA members are invited to attend a Free event in Bald Knob, AR. A local festival is a great “excuse” for a parade, a party, and a LCCA-sponsored, toy-train-related Special Event! On National Train Day (Saturday, May 12), LCCA members and Lionel-oriented hobbyists are invited to Bald Knob, AR (about 35 miles NE of Little Rock on Routes 67 and 167), to participate in celebrating the world’s greatest hobby in a down-home setting.
Springtime in Kentucky 5-19-12
Welcome to the LCCA “Springtime in Kentucky” membership event, planned for Saturday, May 19, 2012, in Versailles, Kentucky. You will get to enjoy a visit to; Nostalgia Station Toy and Train Museum, the basement Postwar Lionel layout, plus a G gauge outdoor garden railroad of Billy Wilson (RM #6906), and a trip through the beautiful Bluegrass on the Bluegrass Scenic Railroad and Museum. Lights, Camera, Action – and Trains! June 9,2012
LCCA members will enjoy a family-friendly Special Event appropriate for ages, including club members that remain young at heart! The TM Books & Video® facility at the outskirts of Michigan City, IN, will be the site of a memorable tour of their video production studio, a tour of the rarely seen private collection of trains with seven great operating layouts, and a visit to the nearby Hesston Steam Museum. Lionel 's Mike Reagan will be representing Lionel and conducting a live demonstration. Meet with Tom McComas of TM Books & video.
