LCCA Visits Lionel’s New York City Retail Store

On November 1, Lionel’s New York retail store premiered in Manhattan. Located in Rockefeller Center, just across the street from Radio City Music Hall and down the block from the famed Center Ice Skating rink where the giant tree will soon be erected, the store is a perfect addition to the center’s holiday traditions. more

Lionel’s New Train Layout Was a “Star of the Show” at the Convention

If you weren’t able to attend the recent Convention of the Lionel Collectors Club of America, you missed a great opportunity to enjoy this new and impressive train layout. Designed and built by TW Design® in Dallas, TX, for Lionel®, this layout made its west coast debut at our event and attracted lots of attention from our members and the local media—TV stations, the NPR radio station, and websites. more

Lionel Licenses M.T.H. for Tinplate

Lionel Electric Trains announced that it has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with M.T.H. Electric trains. The license applies to a new line of tinplate Lionel Standard and O gauge products as well as American Flyer. more

SAD NEWS -- Passing of Lenny Dean

LENNY THE LION is now aboard the Elysian Express headed for Grand Celestial Terminal at the end of the line. Lenny Dean, a long-time employee of Lionel who served the company with its founder, Joshua Lionel Cowen, and other company leaders, passed away Monday, July 16th, in mid-afternoon. more

Can't seem to find the owner's manual for your Lionel trains? Don't worry! Lionel has recently added an "Online Owner Manuals" section to the Lionel Web site. Here you can search for your Lionel products by category, part name, or part number. They are continually adding new manuals to this section so be sure to come back often to check out the new additions! more

Help out the B&O Railroad Museum Reconstruction

Lionel, L.L.C. and the B&O Railroad Museum announced the availability of a specially designed boxcar, limited to 500 copies, to support the Museum's Roundhouse Restoration Fund. more
