As part of the Lionel Collectors Club of America’s 40th anniversary year celebration, we met with club founder and Charter Member #1, Jim Gates of Perry, IA. Watch an interview with Jim. As part of the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) 40th anniversary celebration, the club proudly releases the following video clip about our origin. This video made its debut to our members during the Saturday night (July 31, 2010) banquet at our recent Convention held in the Denver Marriott Tech Center Hotel. This video features Charter Member #1 (Jim Gates of Perry, IA) and includes some 8 mm archival film footage taken at the club’s first Convention held in 1971 in Des Moines, IA. more
