September 19-20, 2015 - LCCA Is Returning to the Norfolk VA Area - Recap
The club welcomed many LCCA members who attended the show which featured numerous vendors for all gauges as well as outstanding traveling layouts from all over eastern Virginia. Six lucky members walked away with very nice door prizes after winning the LCCA sponsored raffle. All members who stopped by the booth were entered in the raffle and received some token gifts from Secretary, Harry Hampson and his wife Bridget who manned the booth.
Of special note were the layouts of Tidewater Area O Gauge Association
(TOGA) to which many local LCCA members belong, and Kids Run Trains
which features the Lionel/LCCA designed modules.
Both layouts received numerous accolades and both were featured in the Monday, September 21st edition of 'The Virginian Pilot' newspaper. The Kids Run Trains modular layout was undoubtedly the hit of the show as children of all ages lined up for the opportunity to be in the driver's seat of their favorite steamer or diesel locomotive. A special '"Welcome Aboard" to the those new members who joined the club at the LCCA booth.
