Welcome David Hoverstock

The LCCA has held a Board of Directors (BOD) Meeting to address the issue of Presidency and the replacement for President Caponi due to his death.  To cite the LCCA Constitution,  Article IV, Section 2, paragraph a, "by which the Immediate Past President is to assume the office of President for the unexpired term in the event of a vacancy in the office of President".   The approval of the Board of Directors is required for implementation of this action.

A BOD meeting held August 15th approved Dennis DeVito to assume the office of President for the unexpired term of Lou Caponi.  This meant that the position of Immediate Past President was vacant.  Harry Overtoom (Director with one additional year of office) was asked to accept a new position of Immediate Past President.  Harry had been LCCA President from 1997 to 1999 and is fully qualified for the office of Immediate Past President.  He will serve two years until 2015.

To fill the unexpired term of Harry Overtoom, Dennis DeVito nominated David Hoverstock RM 30131, and requested the BOD approve David as director.  Dave was next runner up in the last election for Director - he has been an active volunteer for the club at the annual convention.

Please welcome David to the LCCA Board of Directors - and to all the BOD, thank you for your quick resolution to the governance issues resulting from the Death of Lou Caponi.
