Lionel's Howard Hitchcock Meets Lionel Legend & Former Owner Richard Kughn
On 4-19-13 The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) was in York PA and introduced Lionel's new Senior VP/General Manager Howard Hitchcock to the legendary former President/CEO and owner of Lionel Train Inc, Richard Kughn. This is the first time meeting between these two gentlemen. Many people in the hobby believe Dick Kughn is the man who saved Lionel Trains from extinction when he purchased Lionel from General Mills back in 1986. During his ownership, Dick raised the level of quality, got products out on time, revamped the product line-up and introduced new technology such as Command Control, Railsounds and RailScope.
