The LCCA is back in Dallas TX on Halloween Weekend for "Toy Train Layout"
As part of the Lionel Collectors Club of America's (LCCA) Special Event program intended to reach out and touch our fellow members, the LCCA will be back in the Dallas Texas area on Saturday, October 27, 2012 to join in the fun at the “TrainWorx Train Layout Festival". LCCA Members will have an opportunity on Saturday, October 27, 2012 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST to tour Roger and Dorcie Farkash's TW Design/TrainWorx Facility in Dallas TX. We will be accepting donations at the door to benefit the local Ronald McDonald House in Dallas TX. The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for those families whose child is in the hospital receiving much needed care for their serious illness. Come to visit with fellow LCCA members, donate to a worthwhile cause; catch a glimpse of several toy train layouts in operation and new toy train layout projects currently being designed, constructed and assembled.
This open house event has now evolved into a full day Toy Train Layout Festival. There should be at least six operating layouts on display during this day-long event. Lionel's operating layout that is on display at New York's Grand Central Terminal during the December holiday season will be operating during this event. TW TrainWorx plans to have a LCCA/Lionel FasTrack Modular Layout in operation. This will give our members who were not able to attend LCCA's 42nd Annual convention this past summer in Norfolk VA an opportunity to see this new modular standard in operation.
Roger and Dorcie Farkash have graciously invited the LCCA membership to the TrainWorx Train Layout Festival at their new TW Design/TW TrainWorx facility. Members will have an opportunity to meet with Roger and his talented staff to discuss Lionel trains and layouts. We will be able to see the layout projects that the Traingineers are working on at that time. TW Design/TW TrainWorx is the company that designed and built the impressive Lionel 40' Layout that runs during the LCCA annual conventions.
Known as a premier, world class Model & Toy Train layout design and build company, TrainWorx has built numerous layouts for customers all around the country, including the BNSF Railroad. We are certain our members will have an entertaining and fun experience interfacing with Roger, Dorcie and their entire team.
Come the TrainWorx Train Layout Festival and help out the Ronald McDonald House. Meet with fellow LCCA members, the Traingineers and all of the talented people at TrainWorx who create these masterpiece layouts. Who knows, you may even see "Cowboy" formerly "Captain" Bob Carter during this event. Bring the entire family, we are certain all who attend will be entertained and impressed.
