Tour one sold out - A SECOND TRAIN TRIP IS PLANNED

LCCA Convention Tour #1 - ALL TICKETS HAVE BEEN SOLD. THERE IS A WAITING LIST - SIGN UP WITH THE BUSINESS OFFICE. Another train trip is in the works for Monday at the convention.  Return to this site as more details are finalized.

The early indicators of the registration trend for the upcoming LCCA 2012 Convention in Norfolk, VA, are very encouraging.  Overwhelming, actually! As of this posting late Sunday evening, only a few seats remain for Tour #1, the excursion trip aboard the Norfolk Southern vintage executive train on Monday, July 23. We expect this tour to be SOLD OUT very soon. As a courtesy, LCCA will maintain a waiting list for this tour.  In event of cancellations or "no shows," members on that list may be assigned seats aboard this tour based on the date of receipt of tour reservations.

The good news is, enrollment for this Convention is a valid predictor of a successful event. The seating for Tour #1 was limited to 200 persons, and it was impossible to acquire additional coaches for more seating capacity. Thankfully, there are other train-hobby-related activities of this Convention plus historic tours of colonial Virginia sites.  Visits to three military bases will likely to be of special interest to hobbyists that are also veterans.

The club is finalizing an additional tour on Monday, July 23 with over 150 seats.  This incremental trip will be added to the web site when finalized.  If we are able to have the tour, it will be the same price as tour 1.  This tour will be an enjoyable event. Return to this site and page for more details in the very near future.

There's lots to see and do in Norfolk, VA. See you there!
