Circus Train Show in Mundelein, IL - Bring your Circus Trains - March 24/25
If you live in the Midwest region of our country, we invite you to participate in a Model Circus layout display event at the Mundelein Fremont Public Library located in Mundelein, IL, on March 24 & 25. The North Central O Gauge Model Railroad club is bringing their model circus layout to the library for this special two day event. LCCA members and their friends are welcome to attend. There is no price for admission. Be sure to stop by the LCCA booth for your Special Events Pin and billboard inserts!
If you have an O-gauge, Circus related layout or train, please bring them to share in the excitement. This will be a free, fun-filled special event for children of all ages, (even us children at heart) See below for more specific information.
The North Central O Gauge Model Railroad club, located in Mundelein, IL, along with the staff of Fremont Public Library, and the Lionel Collectors Club of America, are sponsoring a Circus weekend. The dates are:
Saturday March 24 from 10 AM to 4:30PM
Sunday, March 25th, 1-5PM
We have several people from the Circus Model Builders who are bringing in their model circus layouts. They are absolutely beautiful and the detail is something to marvel at.
The O Gaugers at the same time are going to have their layout decorated in Circus and Carnival pieces. To make the two days even more interesting we are inviting any O gauge model railroader that has circus or carnival trains to bring them to our layout and run them either Saturday or Sunday. We can run MTH, Cab 1, Legacy, and conventional engines on a three track layout. And no we will not charge any fee to run your train or just come and see the event.
In addition, if you have a small "circus or carnival" themed layout that you would like to bring and set up with the circus display, please contact Vern at the phone number or email address listed below. We want to make sure we have enough room for your display.

The club is furnishing a noon lunch both days for anyone who brings their circus or carnival trains. We are really working to make this a fun and enjoyable weekend for anyone who is interested or wants to see anything about the circus.
