A New First
At the 2009 LCCA Convention in Sacramento, CA, LCCA introduced the first of a planned series of die-cast vehicles produced especially for club members by Diecast Direct, Inc. of Frankfort, Kentucky.
The 2009 premiere release was a First Response “Premier Series” 2009 Dodge Charger Railroad Police Car (FR-PR-104) decorated in the colorful paint scheme of the BNSF Railroad. This dark green and orange beauty was on sale throughout Convention week in the LCCA Store at the host hotel, and it’s now available to members who were unable to attend that event. 744 of these cars were made.
The car is available on a first-come, first-served basis for $29.95 with S&H included in the Continental USA. Members may order it online at the LCCA Store or by U.S. Mail using the ad and order form published in the October 2009 issue of
TLR. This is a much more affordable price than the $100+ bids they have attracted on eBay. As a FREE bonus, the first 115 purchasers of this car will also receive the 2009 Convention pin as a memento.
