See the Video of Robert Walker’s “Proximity Station” - accessible to members who read Robert H. Walker’s article on pages 20 and 21 of the December 2016 issue of The Lion Roars. Bob has incorporated a relatively new device used in an interesting way. Infrared (or IR for short) sensors on model train layouts are very useful and readily available from a number of sources. Their main application is to detect the position of a train and signal to perform an automated function. more
