LCCA Galleries

The LCCA has encouraged the sharing of members photos and now videos of members layouts and club events. These can be accessed from one of the links below or at the left navigation.

Choose one of the links below to view one of these two types of galleries:

Photo Gallery | Video Gallery

The Photo Gallery page is updated periodically, so visit it often and view photos of toy trains and the people who collect and operate them. Images at the Photo Gallery will be rotated regularly - a 90-day posting is the minimum. Images should be pre-sized to 4x6 inches at 300 dpi resolution and sent to the LCCA website editor at: webeditor@lionelcollectors.org. Please provide a several-sentence photo caption to accompany each image.

TRAIN LAYOUTS includes O-gauge layouts of all eras, styles, and sizes. Limit: 8 layout photos. LCCA seeks:

  • Entry-level layouts with tubular track created in the style of the 1950s placed on plywood platforms
  • Middle-level layouts with more-realistic features and Lionel’s TMCC™ train control system
  • "High-rail" layouts with detailed scenic effects and true-to-scale proportions.

Also the LCCA invites parents and grandparents (must be members) to share digital photos of their kids and grandkids as "Junior Engineers" at this section of the photo gallery. Pictures of kids with trains are welcome. Send digital images as an e-mail attachment to the LCCA web Editor at: webeditor@lionelcollectors.org

The club also attempts to recognize its long-time members as "Senior Engineers". All are known at a glance because of a relatively low member number, and they have stories to share based on years of club involvement and service to the train hobby. Members may nominate another member as a Senior Engineer to any club officer for recognition. Criteria for nomination go beyond years of membership and must be based on being an exemplar for the hobby with volunteer service to the club and experience with O-gauge railroading. Self-nominations are not accepted. Selected nominees will be invited to tell their story in their own words and provide an appropriate photograph with a brief photo caption.
