Train Layouts of Members
The TRAIN LAYOUTS web page includes O-gauge layouts of all eras, styles, and sizes. Limit: 5 layout photos. LCCA seeks:

• Entry-level layouts with tubular track created in the style of the 1950s placed on plywood platforms
• Middle-level layouts with more-realistic features and Lionel’s TMCC™ train control system
• "High-rail" layouts with detailed scenic effects and true-to-scale proportions.

Junior Engineers in Member Families
Many of the adult members of LCCA received their first train set as a child for Christmas. This America tradition is now more than 100 years old, and LCCA has continually celebrated the positive benefits of the “World’s Greatest Hobby.” As in the past, the toy train industry still maintains a focus on today’s generation of kids, but today’s trains are theme-linked to THOMAS, NASCAR, and HARRY POTTER train sets. Many of today’s kids have never seen or heard a mighty steam locomotive. On first seeing one on a train layout, their first reaction is often a breathless “Wow!” This Junior Engineers category includes children under the age 16 at the time of taking the photo. LCCA seeks images of kids posed with their trains and family. Limit: 1 photo per child or grandchild.
